Serenity Sunday: Taipingshan

April 23, 2005, on the job in Taiwan.  I had the chance to pay a visit to the Taipingshan National Forest Reserve on a very misty, drizzly soft sort of day and chose to have a meditative walk around a pond.  Happily, I had an umbrella with me, which allowed me to make this shot of a little island with stepping stones that extended into the pond.

Taipingshan 04-23-05My camera was a Nikon Coolpix 4500, ISO 100, 1/200 second at f/5.5, hand-held.  Please click on the photo for a higher-resolution image, and have a nice, quiet Sunday!

  1. Beautiful image. Fog is so lovely; especially in B&W.

Such a lovely, simple scene, beautifully captured.

Makes me almost wish I got up earlier in winter – I’m sure there’d be fog over the nearby river.

  3. Meanderer says:

It is a lovely quiet image. I don’t think I have attempted to photograph in fog. I might get my chance tomorrow morning.
