    After my dad died, we found a jar filled with keys. Of course there was no way to figure out what most of them had opened, but we did find the missing key to the cedar chest. After my mother died, I pulled out a few skeleton keys, and sent the rest to a friend who does a lot of artsy-craftsy projects.

  3. Speaking of melancholy, are you familiar with Dürer famous engraving of that name (though different spelling)?
