It’s a very strange Easter, not being able to congregate in the normal way and not even able to share our family bubbles yet. It engenders a strong feeling of melancholy and longing. In keeping with my new category of uplifting memories, here’s one from another Easter Sunday, 18 years ago, in southwestern France, near the village of Vaillac in the département of Lot and the region of Midi-Pyrénées. Happy, safe Easter, everyone.

This is such an inviting image, Gary, and indeed uplifting. Wishing you a happy and safe Easter, too!
Thank you kindly, Peter. Spring in southwestern France was an unforgettable adventure!
A great inspirational photo from your memory lane! A very serene atmosphere, just what we’ll need now!
I think back to that soft morning with great fondness, and it always brings a little smile.
So you liked this area a Lot. I do hope that looking back at it didn’t turn you into a pillar of salt.
I’ll take your comment with a grain of salt, but no more. Even that’s stretching it a Lot.
A beautiful vista.. gentle and inviting
It would be a great place for a picnic.
