This is a wonderful photo — my compliments to the photographer. I’ve always enjoyed family bands, especially in the bluegrass and gospel worlds, and I suspect most of them started off their youngsters in just this way.
Now, that said, I have to confess that your title raised a very old, very kitschy memory from 1961. I’m posting this with apologies, but I can’t resist posting it. I can’t believe it’s fifty-six years old. The song’s the same, but the video’s newer, of course.
Wow! I remember how much I liked that when it came out. I’m happy that you brought it up (no apologies necessary!), but too bad you couldn’t resist dating it as well. 56 years? Gosharootie!
What a delightful photo :)
That’s what I thought, and I made sure I told her so!
Great picture…that will be brought out in many a future year to provoke family memories and to have a good natured laugh…..love the matching hairdo’s :-)
You wouldn’t believe how much it cost to get mine cut short enough on top to look like that–or how long it took to find a hair artiste who was up to the job.
Awww, that is so adorable! There is nothing like a bare baby’s bum :). Another musician in the family maybe?
I think it very likely, indeed. When she hears rhythmical music, she bobs and sways and dances and drums on sofa cushions. When I brought out the guitar, her eyes got big and she made a beeline for it. When I began to play, she came closer and closer and had to put her hands on the strings and body. To dredge up a phrase from long ago (do you remember the Magic 8-Ball?), signs point to yes!
Haha, that’s awesome, and yes I do remember the Magic 8-Ball :).
Wonderful photo – and very good to see you! A
Thanks, Adrian. I haven’t posted many photos that I’ve not made myself, but sometimes one needs to digress a bit from the usual format under special circumstances!
