Why didn’t you tell me you turned up the heat on your blow dryer, Dearest?

Terrific shot and caption!
Sometimes I just can’t hold my imagination in check.
Hehe
;}
What a great shot :)
They were too good not to share!
😄
Your smile is exactly what I’d hoped for!
Cardinals are the best — so sleek and elegant, except when they’re not. I do wonder about the one on the left. Is that an injury near its beak? The male seems to have a black sunflower seed, but i can’t quite figure out the one on the left.
No, no injury at all (except for the guy’s devastating do). They both had been been eating sunflower seeds from a dedicated feeder and also from an adjacent suet-and-seed block, so lots of things were sticking to their beaks. Silly me, I’d forgotten to provide napkins.
Ah. The suet’s the key. We don’t use that much down here, but it does explain all the crumbs!
😅 What a fun photo and caption.
The female’s fine crop on top gave me the idea. Glad you like it too!
Hahaha!!! >>> wonderful, just wonderful!!! :-D And an excellent image too.
Thank you, Adrian–everyone needs a laugh once in a while!
Remember Humphrey Bogart in Casablanca: “Here’s looking at you, kid.”
Ah, just play it again, Sam!
Ah, but the line “Play it again, Sam” doesn’t actually occur in the movie. It’s one of those quotations that have been perpetuated more in an incorrect version than in the correct one.
Excuuuse me, Steve, but did I make any claim that my comment was a quotation from the movie? And did you notice that, whereas you put quotation marks around your quotation, I put none around my comment? Apparently not. But, be that as it may, did my comment raise a bit of a smile (although it may have been a smug one)? If so, then my comment fulfilled its intended purpose. Correctly.
Speaking of which, did you ever see Woody Allen in “Play It Again, Sam”?
