It’s called a SuperMoon because it’s not only full but at perigee, its closest to the earth in its current elliptical orbit. The last SuperMoon was on January 26, 1948 and the next will be November 5, 2034. Blessed with a clear sky, I made this photo this morning at 6:31.

It is beautiful this night!
Oh, how I love a beautiful night!
Me too!
Oh it’s beautiful..
Thank you, Cath–were you able to see it over there too?
Sadly no, we wanted to go out and look at it from the hills but there was the thickest cloud we’ve seen for weeks, typical!
Beautiful. One of God’s wonders.
Amen to that!
What a great shot.
I went outdoors around 7.40pm in Melbourne to see if I could see it, but it was heavily overcast in my area. Maybe some other suburbs had clearer sky.
We were very fortunate here. It’s just the luck of the draw, I guess.
Wonderful image.
It took me about an hour and a half, but it was worth it!
