Parkway panorama

A week ago I had the opportunity to revisit the extreme southern end of the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina with my brother.  It was delightfully foggy at the upper Beech Gap 20441elevations and quite lovely.  I believe the red leaves belong to highbush blueberry.  I came across this scene just a bit south of Beech Gap.

  1. This is so beautiful that it looks unreal. :)

  2. Nice intimate with the foggy background, Gary. This is a place on my wish list.

It’s worth a visit at any time of year, though it’s a bit bleak in winter and early spring. And, yes, the fog helped a lot, though many folks would prefer it clear. Both ways are great.
