Here be Meadowhawks!

The reunion is past, the photoshow went extremely well, and I’m getting ready for my surgery tomorrow, but I had time at last for my first leisurely walk on my woods path in months yesterday. I don’t know when I’ll be able to do it again, but I need to break my silence to bring you a (likely) juvenile white-faced meadowhawk (Sympetrum obtrusum), whose acquaintance I was happy to make, perched on a bracken fern.  See you again soon!

My sincere thanks to you all! My surgeon says all went well, and I’m feeling better every day, though I know it will be some months before I’ll be able to put my left arm to anything resembling good use. But I’m not going to dwell on it, and will post when I can!

Hello Gary, I hope the surgery fixed your shoulder and you’re well on the road to recovery. All the best!
