Spring setback, ready replacements

I had planned to take a break from my recently-frequent posting, but circumstances plotted against me during the course of the past day. Late yesterday afternoon the wonder- ful rain that we had needed so much metamorphosed into snow, which continued through the night. There was no significant accumulation, but it weighed down all of the snow- drops to ground level and took all of the joy out of the first daffodils. They are quite droopy now, and although I made some hopeful shots of them this afternoon, they look pretty sad, and I’ll be content to leave your with the past few days’ reports of their (brief and bold) glory. As today warmed and the snow melted, however, the next line of reinforcements stepped up and took their places. Here, then, are a couple of the new volunteers.2nd-line daffs 9510

Lovely! Resilience Springs to mind :-)

    Snow?
    What?
    Is Spring over already?

No, no, Vicki, just another temporary setback. All is (going to be) well, and there are many more reinforcements. I almost made some shots of our first dandelions this afternoon, but I’ll wait for a more opportune display, which should be soon!
