My friend Adrian has asked for a monochrome version of the detail photo that I included in my last post.  I’m only too happy to oblige, and it was great fun to work further with this image.  Thanks for your interest, Adrian!

    Oh I like that, Gary, I like that very much! To me this is better than the colour version, I think the colour was a distraction. What do you think?

    This has interesting dark textures lower left and upper right, which serve to keep my eye within that incredible mass of furiously flowing liquid. A :)

      I like it too, Adrian, and am grateful for the suggestion. Actually, I’m preferring the monochrome version, though not because the color distracts, but rather that the new one is more dramatic and the abstract quality adds to its effectiveness. Thanks!

    I am with Adrian on this one – I like it better too, though nothing really wrong with the colour version which is an excellent shot too.
