A wedding in wonderland

I’m back after a month in New Zealand with family and nearly a week at home trying to catch my breath and process my new trove of photos.  This will, I hope, help to explain my recent website silence.  I am also working toward delving into my formidable backlog of comments to make and respond to, for all of my photo-blogging friends out there—you know who you are, and I haven’t forgotten you!

So much has happened, but I can’t say I don’t know where to start.  The main event, by far, was the wedding of our younger daughter to a fine young New Zealander on February 2, on a beautiful, sunny day, in the Auckland Botanical Gardens.  I am working to process my photos and am trying to do so chronologically.  I’ve finished through the day before the wedding, but the wedding day is going to take quite some time, so I jumped ahead to develop two of my favorites to bring to you here and start to catch you up on what I’ve been up to.

I’ll have lots more new stuff to share with you in the very near future, but I really feel the need to make a start and get back in touch.  Sorry for the delay, but I think it was well worth it.  Thanks for being patient with me.  Stay tuned!

Gary – I’m back! Still nothing like on full throttle yet, still a great amount to do, but I’m getting there! I’m also retiring on 31 March >>> so 9.5 extra hours per weekday to play around with.

Good pictures – you have a very beautiful daughter! Adrian

My heartfelt thanks to all of you for all of your kind comments and congratulations, and also for your patience with me since my last post. It seems so long ago! Sorry about the mass message, but i have only late yesterday evening finished processing my photos from my month in NZ. I had almost no time to do any developing while I was there, and during the past week I have actually seen many of the photos I made for the first time. Part of me would like to catch up on the 500 or so new posts I’ve missed from all of you, and I’ll try to get to some of them, but it’s too formidable a task to try to comment on more than a few. Please understand. It’s great to be back!
