A Splash of Saffron

A Splash of Colour it certainly is!
This combination called out to me as soon as I was able to see it and drew me right in. I had no choice but to stay until I had made this shot the way it wanted me to. I know that you know this feeling too–love it when this happens!
Wow! What a feast of colour for the eyes! Blues and yellows complement each other so well. Lovely shot.
Thanks a lot, Meanderer. I really couldn’t take my eyes off this combination of saturated colors–the whole palette of indigos, deepest to pastels, and that incredible in-your-face pair of yellow beauties had me captivated for several minutes, and after I’d left I kept looking back at it until it was out of sight.
Beautiful!
It was very fortunate that the light was diffuse and that there was no air movement. I don’t know what I would have done if I’d had to try to make this in bright sunlight–probably would have thrown my shadow onto it. Thanks, Dezra!
That’s a very beautiful picture, Gary! The colours are absolutely gorgeous, and that “dark corridor” that comes in from the right of the frame to end up at the bright yellow blooms is perfect – sheer beauty! Adrian
We are of a very like mind regarding that dark corridor. I feel that it adds a lot to the mystery of the inviting depths beneath the blossoms.
A colourful shot with the great combination of bright and dark parts. Absolutly beautiful.
Thank you very much for your comment and your compliments! I have just had a first look at your website and I like what I have seen; my free time is very limited at the moment, but I am looking forward to a deeper look in the very near future. Und vlelen herzlichen Dank, Dich vorgestellt zu haben!
Absolutely love this one. Such vibrant, rich colors. Beautiful!
The light was just right on that day, and the colors were naturally so saturated that I remember thinking that it looked almost psychedelically enhanced. I remember it as if it were yesterday!
