Flashback Friday: Meiji #2

Two weeks ago I published my first Flashback post (here) introducing my free day in Tokyo when I visited the Meiji Shrine.  In that post I described the circumstances leading up to my visit and I don’t think I need to repeat it now.  Here’s my second installment from that wonderful day.

Thanks, Nann, it was just amazing to be able to be within a few feet of these beautiful children and have them be ignoring me and perfectly candid–what a rare and treasured opportunity!

  4. Haha, she is adorable and she is obviously enjoying whatever she is eating. Great shot!

I’ve always wondered what it actually was–probably some whipped-cream thingy with about 1,500 calories. She probably had to be dunked in the fountain to clean her up afterwards, but I think it probably was worth it!

  5. Gary, her expression is priceless!

It’s probably the only expression available when you’ve committed to taking a huge bite into a fif-inch-thick cream puff. But I thought so too, and I’m delighted that I was able to get it on film!
