I love reflections. This is especially beautiful with the cattails in the foreground.
What a serene morning that was! There had been pretty thick fog right around sunrise, and as it lifted, if formed that wonderful softbox of low, glowing cloud cover that softened everything and lit it evenly from all sides, and there had also been heavy dew, so it was all wet–all the right elements came together. I spent hours walking around that tiny lake and loved every minute.
It looks so very still..beautiful capture
One of the elements that helped to make it such a memorable morning was the total absence of any movement of air. I was there for several hours, and I never saw a single leaf or blade of lake grass stir in a breeze. It was as if it were all frozen in time.
You’ve done it again!! That is one amazing photo. It’s so dreamy and yet so crisp and clean, and the colours are wonderful.
I was just learning how to use my new Photomatix program and knew this opportunity was something special, so I applied bracketing to nearly every image. Until yesterday, the results of the HDR processing I had done on this scene previously were rather garish, so before I published it, I reworked it, with only minimal enhancement. I, too, am very pleased with the results. Thanks for your support!
Nice shot.
Thanks, Frank!
