OMG, best animal photo ever!! Thank you for making my Saturday morning :). Did you actually take that photo yourself? I absolutely love the symmetry, perspective and clarity of this shot. Awesome!
How can you doubt me, Cindy (LOL)? If I ever post a photo that I didn’t make myself, I’ll tell you right up front and give full credit where it’s due. This is one of a series of ten or so that I made in an animal park in North Carolina. The giraffe was so friendly and curious I was afraid he was going to lick my lens!
I didn’t mean to make you think I was doubting your ability :). I just couldn’t figure out how you could have gotten so close. It’s an amazing shot!!
Actually, I was as amazed as you are that he chose to get so close to ME!
I actually laughed out loud. Wonderful perspective. I had a grade school teacher that looked like this when she stood over my shoulder watching me do my work. It was quite unnerving and annoying. But I can forgive it in a giraffe.
Laughing is what it’s really about, and I love to share images that make me laugh–I did, too, the first time I saw this one, and it never fails to bring a smile. I though it high time that I brought it out of its hidey-hole–thanks a lot for confirming my thought!
Kiss me! Kiss me! How gorgeous!! I love them!! PS Shaman looked the same way yesterday while I was brushing him & he gave me kisses (what is pretty unusual for him ;) ) :D
I doubt that you’d really want to be kissed by a giraffe. The image that comes to mind is the similarity of their tongues to those of the 6-legged “horses” in Avatar, which looked to be the better part of a meter long and verrry slurpy!
Love the perspective of this !! haha
He had me laughing, too–and he provided the perspective!
Haha! Fantastic shot.
Actually, I had the impression that the curious giraffe was studying me at least as much as I was him!
Cute photo made me smile. Thank you!
Me too! I’m happy to hear that he’s making so many others smile, too. Thanks for stopping by.
