Serenity Sunday: Kornschuppen

During a much-too-brief visit to Italy a bit over two years ago, a new friend invited me to spend an evening at his family’s farm high in a valley in the South Tyrolean Alps.  After a day of exploration, and after the sun had set, an old grain-storage shed (Kornschuppen) on the far side of the little valley caught my eye, and I called for a quick stop so I could make a study while there was enough light.  As it turned out, the low light was just what it needed for me to be able to present the image I envisioned at the time.

This place seems to be out of the movie “Lord of the Rings”, incredible beautiful! So full green :) I have been to Italy only once, but I like the Alps :)

  2. What a great spot. I would love to see this someday.

  3. Such a stunning photograph, so lush and green. I love the lines of the image.

I’m not sure if you noticed when you stopped by my blog today, I included you in my list of nominees for the Versatile Blogger award! http://lemonygregghead.wordpress.com/2012/01/29/in-celebration/

I’ll completely understand (as I mentioned in the post) if blogging awards is not something you’re interested in, but I absolutely did want to recognize you for the inspiring work you post here on your blog. I have only recently discovered your site myself, and hope that others will find their way to you through the nomination. All my best. Melanie
