Places Remembered: Stewart Island, Part 1d

This is the final episode in my recounting of my first trip to Stewart Island.  The blanket of clouds had reclaimed the entire sky after permitting one golden ray to highlight the deeps of the dark and lovely Fern Gully.  Along the path on my way back to the town of Oban for a good nap and a shower before dinner, I heard the gentle musical trickle of flowing water a little way off in the bush to my left.  Following the sound, I came upon a beautiful little streamlet making its way down to the sea.  What I had heard was a tiny cascade, bubbling merrily in the protected gloom.  A fitting finale to my introduction to this enchanted isle.
